Salary to hourly calculator.
Convert annual salary and hourly pay, including unpaid weeks and an explicit overtime assumption.
Salary and hourly pay inputs
Gross pay before taxes, benefits and deductions. A year is modelled as 52 weeks; paid weeks = 52 − unpaid weeks. Annual input is base earnings across those paid weeks, excluding overtime. Overtime eligibility is not inferred. Monthly and 26-period figures are annualized averages, not actual paychecks.
How this salary to hourly calculator works
Paid weeks equal 52 minus unpaid weeks. Divide annual base earnings by regular hours across those paid weeks for the equivalent hourly rate. In the other direction, multiply hourly pay by regular hours and paid weeks. Overtime is added separately using the multiplier you enter.
A worked example
An annual base salary of 52,000 over 40 hours per week and 52 paid weeks equals 25 per hour. At that hourly rate, five overtime hours each week paid at 1.5 times add 9,750 annually.
Are the monthly and fortnightly values actual paychecks?
No. Monthly pay is annual gross divided by twelve and the 26-period figure is annual gross divided by twenty-six. Actual pay dates, withholding, deductions, benefits and overtime eligibility can differ. This tool calculates gross earnings only.
